Create informal social gatherings to promote friendship and compromise among Democrats and Republicans

The disfunction in our federal government has become unsustainable. Members with differing views and ideologies have lost the ability to humanize and compromise with each other. I suggest that the President, Senate and the House of Representatives, create more informal, non-political social gatherings to promote friendship between Democrats and Republicans, and take a pledge to stop hateful personal attacks, obscenity, and name-calling.
