Create an Informed Voter Service to give subscribers timely, basic information about every candidate on a ballot.

Created by L.S. on October 23, 2014

Low-information voters present a real obstacle to effective, representative government. The major parties spend millions in advertising, yet the average voter is limited to lawn-signs and extensive searching to find out who's even running.

This is a petition to establish and fund a Voter Information Service, an email- or text-to-website database, searchable through address, of every candidate, regardless of party, that will appear on the ballot in the subscriber's jurisdiction.

Entries for each candidate should be limited to a picture, a party (if applicable), a bio (limited character-count) and a statement or plan for what they will bring to their constituents if elected (also a limited character-count).
