I would ask Americans to consider the most precious resource you may take for granted everyday. Something we all need to survive. Precious H20; water. How long has it been since your last drink? How far did you have to travel to access it? How much time did it take? How much energy did you have to expend? How many glasses do you drink a day?
Much like the SOCCKET ball, my petition would call for the creation of a nonprofit with the help of kickstarter to take donations along with limited government resources in order to supply third world and developing countries drinking water on a micro level. Combining Goal Zero products (solar panels) and Steripen Technology, or merely Steripen alone (Such as the Sidewinder) we can give the gift of clean drinking water to those most in need.
