Instead of putting money into maintaining inefficient transportation systems we can pull our efforts together to fund innovative ideas for public transportation such as replacing metro systems with mag-lev trains. Creating incentive to invent a feasible system that would be beneficial, safe, and economical to its customers would be the government's task. In turn, this would create jobs while also reducing public waste through lower maintenance costs, as well as create a realistic drive to build a greener, more sustainable infrastructure.
