Create an initiative to foster the growth and development of rural broadband internet access.

The internet has become an essential part of lives, with employers expecting their employees to be able to manage their accounts online, schools and educators expect their students to be able to access information on the internet for school projects, and even agriculture services offer cloud based options to help farmers manage their farms. All of these services require that people have access to a dedicated, high speed link to the internet. Too often, rural areas are limited by dial up internet connections. Today's internet is unusable with a dial up connection. Simple things, like an online purchase, can take hours while pages load. We are creating a deep digital divide that is hurting the rural families of today and tomorrow.
