Create initiatives to encourage Universities to allow Hispanics to major in science

We need initiatives to encourage universities to allow Hispanics and minorities students in general to demonstrate their competency and passion for science. Most of the Hispanic students are first-generation students with no collage experience at home, where English is a second language, and from socioeconomically-challenged families. When collage comes to their lives, understandably, most are still maturing and learning how to make well-informed decisions; the reality hits them hard when discovering their real passion is for science but the requirements not gained during high school years are necessary to pursue science majors. Colleges offer once chance only to pass a test (ARC 35 for University of California Riverside). Those students who do not pass ARC are not
