To create an Interstate High Speed Rail System

Created by H.S. on January 22, 2013

The federal government investing in a high speed interstate or transcontinental rail system would benefit the US in several ways. Aid to disaster hit areas, unemployment rate, cutting fuel cost from aviation and cars, and supporting the US infrastructure.

High speed trains could transport hundreds of tons of resources and aid workers. It would allow the every state to decrease unemployment. It would reduce our dependents on foreign oil with electric trains bringing down total fuel prices across the nation. Lastly laying new rail lines along with fiber optics would allow our nation a way to transport troops and information at high speeds to any area of the continental. Security, jobs, transportation, and freedom from foreign oil makes this a great plan for America.
