I believe that the Obama Administration with great haste should develop a Jaeger Project. Which should focus on on developing and creating massive mechanical titans called Jaegers in response to the Kaiju threat.
The Kaiju are a race of amphibious creatures from another dimension, created by the Kaiju Masters to eradicate humanity. In 2013, the Masters opened a portal between dimensions at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean, allowing the Kaiju to enter Earth's dimension. As biological weapons of warfare, Kaiju are extremely hostile and toxic creatures seemingly designed with the intention to wipe out humankind.
