Israelis and Palestinians both claim all or part of Jerusalem as their capital. We support creating a UN office, representing Jews, Palestinian Muslims, Palestinian Christians, and other concerned parties, to administer a new Jerusalem Authority, wherein residents would retain their Israeli or Palestinian citizenship, and the rights of all groups would be equally protected, especially with respect to housing, resources, freedom of movement, religion, and education.
The administration of this authority would not be based on the demographics of the city in order to prevent demographic politics.
