We the undersigned Citizens of the United States URGE our President to shepherd through Congress HR 188 the 21st Century Civilian Conservation Corps Act a non-partisan, win-win legislation to re-establish the United States Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) for future generations to save our planet.
From 1933 to 1942, the twentieth Century CCC was the most successful federal work program in US history. The CCC still is the government’s most lasting environmental effort as well. The CCC demonstrated that there was absolutely no conflict between the preservation of the environment and the creation of jobs. The CCC will provide actual green job training, job creation and national service for future generations.
