Malcolm in the middle was a great American TV show in the early 2000's depicting the life of a family of lower middle class underdogs. The seventh season ended with the 2nd and 3rd sons flying the nest as the 4th and 5th sons bonded as Hal and Lois learned a 6th child was on the way. Now, 7 years later Malcolm would be starting a career and family of his own in, while Piama and Francis may be having their first child who could grow up with his own youngest uncle (or aunt). While there could easily be throwback episodes--retelling stories from old episodes with new jokes and the same lessons of perseverance, loyalty, and the importance of family--there are unexplored issues allowing for constantly fresh stories.
