Create JOBS by legislating a 4 Day Work Week (32 Hours) or a Three Day Weekend. Any hours overage to be taxed at 50%

Created by M.M. on April 30, 2012

A Four-Day Work Week (3-Day Week-ends) as enacted by law would tax any hours worked OVER the 32 hour limit for the same employer at a rate of 50%. This would force almost all employers, especially the larger corporations to hire millions of people to take up the fifth day that would be left uncovered.

This would also help balance the budget as more and more jobs are created, and over-time taxed at the higher rate. A 3-Day Weekend would also help grow the economy as people had more free time. Americans would enjoy life as never before, thus stimulating even more creativity in the private sector. Freeways would be less congested.

Millions of jobs would be created because 20% of their current productivity would be lost unless employers hired additional workers to fill the time.
