We wish to propose a job creation program similar to The Works Progress Administration of Roosevelts 2nd New Deal, to build high speed rail, repair or replace infrastructure, and deploy an electrical Smart grid. This program should be structured similar to military pay and benefits structure. Unemployed or underemployed individuals may sign up and receive job training, housing allowance, food allowance and a small pay check. In return we can fix our failing infrastructure, put Americans back to work, provide education and training that can lead to a career in the private sector by providing the experience that employers are looking for.
