This petition is a request to review the process followed in accepting and admitting the Sovereign Republic of Texas into the Federal Union of States in December 1845. There had been heated discussion and debate then and it has continued to the present day as to the leagality of that Act. If it should be determined to have been an unconstitutional act by one or both Republics, should Texas Statehood be Voided. Should only Citizens of Texas be allowed to Call for this Question? What other legal and/or constitutional action should then be taken to correct the situation?
