If a Senator or Congressman or Congresswoman believes in an act of government so passionately that they wish to shut down the government to do it, then not one Senator or Congressman or Congresswoman must not be allowed to receive salary or benefits during the duration of the government shutdown. Nor will they be allowed to be paid retroactively any monies lost after the shutdown has been ended. All potential monies that should have been paid to the Senate or Congress must now go towards the branches of the government that will need to be kept open for the health and well being of the people of the United States.
