Create a Law on Jail Sentencing for Domestic Violence

Create an immutable, inflexible law that anyone who commits an act of domestic violence, besides out of self defense, must serve a jail sentence of one to three years. It is unjust and inhuman that a man who assaults a police officer will receive a five year jail sentence but a man who bludgeons his wife will only spend the night in jail.
