create a law to make being Honorably Discharged from the military a prerequisite for becoming President.

There should be an additional prerequisite added to become President of The United States. Since the President is also the Commander In Chief of all military branches,he/she should have a military background. A Honorable Discharge from military service whether it be enlisted or officer would help in making reasonable decisions when it come to the welfare of the military and its families. Therefore, it will help the United States citizens more if their military is being taken care of both when they are still in and after they get out of the military.
