create a law that makes membership in an organization that practices violent crime as an organization a criminal action.

Created by L.A. on December 15, 2012

Violent gang crime is an important problem facing the United States. Core issues related to gang crime is that most gangs use low-level operatives to perform their criminal activities, and that their membership alone is not criminal, which gives freedom of movement until they have found the best position from which to deal violence. This petition requests a crackdown on gang crime by making membership in an organization or gang that is involved in violence as an organization (i.e. MS13, and other gangs that routinely are engaged in criminally violent activities) itself a crime, and punishable by laws related to being an accessory to that crime. This petition further requests that legal immigration decisions can be revoked due to gang membership, resulting in deportation.
