Create a law making it illegal for employers to discriminate against the long-term unemployed in the hiring process.

With so many people out of work at this time, and with many people competing for so few jobs, it is no surprise that the long-term unemployment rate is high. This unfortunate trend will only continue unless more jobs are created. Therefore, as it is not the fault of the long-term unemployed job-seekers that they cannot find work, any discrimination against them should be against the law.
