We ask that the Obama administration create and sign a law prohibiting anyone who has consumed alcohol from occupying an "exit row" seat on any domestic flight and prohibit the sale of alcoholic beverages to anyone occupying an "exit row" seat for the entirety of the flight. The persons occupying an emergency "exit row" seat are tasked with assisting the other passengers in the event of an emergency. Alcohol could impair ones ability to give such assistance. Therefore, in the interest of public health and safety, airlines should be given a mandate to reassign anyone who appears visibly intoxicated to another seat on the flight and should be prohibited from dispensing alcohol throughout the duration of the flight to anyone occupying an emergency exit row seat.
