Create a law that prohibits Law Enforcement from drawing fire arms upon unarmed citizens.

Created by J.B. on August 22, 2014

The escalation of force used by Law Enforcement needs to be more closely regulated. Police are far too quick to aim fire arms at unarmed citizens, allowing them to make decisions acting as judge and potentially executioner. Aiming a fire arm at an unarmed or apprehended individual highly increases the risk for accidental discharge of weapon and is unsafe. Far too often situations are handled poorly by Law Enforcement and 'innocent until proven guilty' citizens never make it into a court room to be judged by peers; the sentence is ultimately decided and carried out by Police. We need to regulate and control our Law Enforcers' actions, ability to intimidate citizens and the escalation of force used in the line of duty. Police should be able to end situations without use of deadly force.
