Create a law that prohibits officials from working for a public organization after leaving office for a time of 5 years.

Created by R.R. on April 08, 2013

We, the people of the United States, seek to prevent injustice and corruption at the highest level of our government by prohibiting any official who leaves a public position from obtaining a job with an organization in which they received campaign funds for up to five (5) years.

Special interest groups, lobbyists, and private organizations have long had special access to our highest politicians, often exchanging favors through the means of lucrative job opportunities after the conclusion of the official's public office term.

Our government must be a neutral body, seeking the best interest in the United States and its citizens. Public officials must also maintain a neutral stance, seeking only the best interest in the United States and of their constituents, not of themselves.
