The White House and Congress should recognize the endangerment of Black males in the United States as a species of humanity that is being hunted, in some cases, targeted in most cases, and altogether murdered at the hands our nation’s law enforcement. The White House and Congress should act now to protect our Black males from a law enforcement system that has historically been the culprit of the killing of generations of Black men and boys. The act should include a heightened level of protection by our federal government and an awareness campaign to educate and inform the nation on the severity of losing Black males and alienating a race of people who have played an intricate role in building this country. The act should also make the penalty for killing a Black male severe.
