This petition is an attempt to halt the trend of elected officials leaving congress after their term has completed and going straight to work as consultants and lobbyists in Washington DC. It should be made clear to our elected congresspeople that they have a primary responsibility to their constituents, and they will have to answer to them after their terms have ended.
