create a law stating that the use of a firearm in any crime, minor or serious result in a life sentence without parole

It has become clear that our punishments regarding the use of a firearm in the commission of a crime, are simply not an effective deterrent. We as Americans are tired of living guarded and in fear. We would like a message to be sent to any person thinking of committing a crime with a firearm. If you use a firearm to committ any crime, no matter how minor or severe; you will spend the rest of your life behind bars without the option of parole.Steps must be taken to bring our society back to a civilized and safe environment for our children to grow up in. Guns can never be completely removed from our society. But we can make the punishment so severe for those who use guns in a crime, that a message be sent that we value the lives of law abiding citizens more than the lives of criminials
