create a law that the US will only recognize Civil Unions (2 adults, either gender). This is inclusive & Constitutional.

Weddings & Marriages are religious concepts that are recognized (respected) by the Government and thus prohibited by the Constitution. Instead, the Federal Government should enact a law stating that only Civil Unions are recognized. These Civil Unions would encompass the same rights as Marriages hold today. Citizens who choose to get Married in a church would still get the legal designation as being Civilly United. People who are currently Married would be automatically recognized as being Civilly United. Civil Unions would be legal contracts between 2 adults, regardless of their gender. States should not be allowed to decide which tax-paying citizens can Unite and which cannot. Federally recognized Civil Unions promote equality, justice, and are Constitutional.
