In light of recent events which have sparked a nationwide debate regarding gun laws, we believe that the process through which one may obtain a firearm should verify that the purchaser is capable of responsibly owning and utilizing a firearm.
All firearms purchasers should be required to complete a thorough firearms safety, usage, and ownership course. Candidates should be evaluated for competency and level of responsibility before being granted the ability to purchase firearms. Within one year's time of passing the course, the owner's home should be randomly, and respectfully, inspected to ensure that firearms are being properly secured and handled.
Laws removing our second amendment rights will not solve society's issues. The key to success in anything is knowledge, not ignorance!
