The purpose of this petition is to persuade the Obama administration to create formal laws and rules regulating lunches and breaks for hourly workers in the United States. As it stands now, there are no laws protecting hourly workers from having to work shifts non stop if the company so decides. Given the diversity of work, it is prudent for the government to set standards(possibly 15 minutes for every 4 hours worked) to create economic fairness for all hourly workers in the United States.
