Create laws holding parents responsible for their children's access to firearms and the crimes they commit with them.

In order to protect the public from gun violence from juveniles, a law holding parents responsible for the crimes that their children commit by having unlawful access to firearms in the home. As several of the recent school shootings have demonstrated. Children removed the weapons from the home and took them to school to commit great bodily injury and homicide. Parents should be charged with at least involuntary manslaughter for leaving firearms in a condition that allowed the child or juvenile access to them. As we now live in a world were video games promote gun violence, it is apparent that young people do not realize the responsibility of possessing and using a firearm. Therefore it is the parents responsibility to insure public safety by securing the firearms at home.
