We need to create an independent and publicly appointed fact checking agency to fact check and monitor "News" outlets (TV, Printed, Internet, etc).
If any fail to meet a set threshold for accurate reporting of facts, directly and/or by omission, then they will be legally forbidden from referring to themselves as News, or as News networks or outlets.
Some facts are simply facts and not up for debate. The public is entitled to a consistently reliable source of news which can be trusted to be accurate and free of biases. It is imperative to maintaining an informed and free population.
