This is the time for action, we can not afford to weep another Sandy Hook tragedy anymore. We have failed 26 people, we have failed 20 little angels. But we do not have to fail anymore. Along with other petitions asking for proper gun control and mental health, we need to change the culture of violence we are constantly being bombarded with.
Teach a person to hate and they will hate. Teach a person to love and they will love.
Ratings for shows are not the answer, we need strong action to limit the exposure of violence and perversion to not only kids but our population in general.
I urge the following:
- Restrict the violence depicted in video games, toys, TV shows and movies.
- Forbid video games that depict killing and extreme violence.
- Educate parents about viewing choices.
