Create a legislation that addresses the education of future parents to prepare them for the challenges of parenthood.

I feel that while our education in this country is slipping according to some miraculous graph that compares apples to oranges, we need to focus on a key aspect of education, parents. I'm a parent of four and I feel that parenting requires a large amount of skill and knowledge in order for it to be successful. Parents are not only responsible for the care and treatment of children but for their mentorship and personal development. While I do not believe that the government should be responsible for instilling values and ideals, they should require future parents to take a series of classes that deal with key aspects of parenting that would ensure their success. With the availability of contraception and modern medicine parenthood should be considered a choice which should require education
