I believe that the Obama Administration should look into restructuring the student loan system to allow for the possibility of refinancing student loans with higher interest rates. Currently there are some paying interest rates in excess of 8.5% and a little help would be appreciated. Also, in the case of divorce, it would be nice to allow for the splitting of a student loan into 2 parts, letting the 2 parties involved move on with their lives and not have to share in the repayment of the same loan for the next 20 years.
