Pass legislation allowing all school employees to voluntarily carry concealed weapons after completing a concealed weapons course similar to the one offered in Arizona which requires you to be educated on the laws, the firearms, and requires you to qualify on a shooting range. As an added protection, school employees should have to re-qualify on an annual basis, so that the public is confident in their ability to properly handle their firearm. This would be much less expensive than having an armed guard at every school. The entire school can be protected instead of one location in the school where an armed patrolman might be standing. Concealed weapons do not "freak" the children either, because they are concealed. We could arm the whole school for less than the price of one officer.
