Create legislation to cap higher ed tuition in the US - All citizens should have access to college without going broke.

Created by E.D. on February 08, 2015

Tuition rates in the US have spiraled out of control, and banks are making a killing on the backs of broke graduates. This is highly problematic and absolutely unconscionable.

It is now common knowledge that a college degree is required for most jobs and is the most common factor in higher lifetime earnings. It is unfair to punish students for trying to attain this new necessity.

Because students can no longer afford to "work their way through college," lenders are preying on them viciously, making thousands off of each student as they pay off their loans. Graduates, instead of infusing their new earnings into our shaky economy, are handing over huge chunks of their incomes to the banks.

These tuition rates and loans are crippling the middle class and the US economy. We need change NOW.
