We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Create legislation to enable the FDA to keep Big Pharma from price gouging.

Created by T.S. on July 25, 2016

Companies overprice their drugs at the expense of consumers’ health for one simple reason: money. Companies achieve this practice of price gouging from multiple factors such as: patents, which can create a monopolistic effect in the industry, and high "development costs." These costs are not disclosed to the public or any type of authority and include outrageous direct-to-consumer advertising expenses. Companies also have no restrictions when it comes to the mark-ups they place on their drugs.

These practices occur due to the fact the FDA currently has no authority to police these behaviors or regulate pricing in the pharmaceutical industry.

The people most effected by these unethical price gouging practices are the consumers. You, me and the ones we love.

Take action. Save lives.
