The federal government should hold cadidates for all federal positions liable for campaign promises made during election campaigns by requiring candidates to present potential legislation and detailed and specific commitments to the causes that candidates claim to support and enforcing penalties for those who do not hold to their claims once elected.
If private individuals and companies are liable for their advertising practices, why are the people running our country getting away with it?
Stop the lies and empty promises. Hold politicians to their word and reform campaign practices.
