Spanking is a code word for assault. Americans who want to live in a world of peace, justice and understanding, but also believe it is perfectly acceptable to physically and emotionally assault children, need to understand...you can't have both.
Legislation should include:
Language that clearly states it is no longer acceptable to hit or humiliate children
Promote education on positive parenting, and non-violent discipline techniques.
The constitution states all people are equal and their rights are protected regardless of "age"....children are people and they should be protected in the same way adults are protected from assault and/or inhumane treatment.
