Create legislation that prevents websites from being shutdown without due process through the U.S. court system.

On January 20th, 2012 the website network of Megaupload was shutdown by the FBI without notice or due process. If we allow the various agencies of government, particularly the law enforcement and legislative bodies of the United States to become the lapdogs of powerful lobbying groups such as the MPAA and the RIAA, then we will find ourselves in an environment where innovation and technological invention is stifled and crushed by those with more money and influence.
We the people want to prevent websites from being shutdown and questions being asked after the damage has already been done. Create legislation that prevents websites from being shutdown without going through the legal process and U.S. courts first. How are smaller websites to defend themselves from such swift, abusive actions?
