create legislation which would make it illegal to disturb the peace at funerals by means of protesting.

Created by A.H. on December 19, 2012

This petition would make it illegal for groups like Westburrow Baptist Church to protest at anyone's funerals within a visible or audible range of said funeral. They would still be allowed their freedom of speech as long as it was not viewable or audible by the families and friends of the recently deceased. Essentially it would be a temporary restraining order against the groups who would attempt to protest at any funeral for any reason which would only be lifted at a time which was no less than 24 hours after the funeral's completion. This would therefore alleviate undo stress to the survivors of the deceased and create a less hostile environment for everyone involved.
