After reading and witnessing lst hand, the humiliation our children have to go through if they are too poor to afford lunch I am just disgusted. Lunches that were given to children and then taken away from them because their parents owed money for their lunch. Political figures suggesting that maybe they can sweep the floor for their lunch. They should never know that they are too poor to eat .I went to school to have lunch with my granddaughter and she got lunch but when I asked her how come she did not have and ice cream like everyone else she told me it was because she didn't have a ticket. You could tell she was really bothered by it. What are we teaching our children when we differentiate between the poor and the well off. Pass legislation that feeds our children no matter what.
