With that in mind, we want to set up a liability insurance requirement for gun ownership to hold gun owners accountable for crimes committed using their weapons. This would mean that if a gun owner improperly stores their weapons, or gives access to someone who shouldn't have access to guns, they would be held financially responsible. The insurance requirement is to protect and pay the families and victims affected by gun violence, and provide at least enough money to bury their loved ones.
