Campaign Financing has been a problem in the U.S government for decades. For a school project, we have started a petition to put a cap on the amount rich donors can donate to campaigns. An Elite class of wealthy donors to campaigns and elections has gained too much influence over the government. Supreme court rulings are doing nothing to prevent this, and are undermining the democracy of our government. This donating is creating a bigger rift between the influence the poor and the rich have on government (rich more than poor). If you just sign this petition, we are one step closer to achieving our goal.
