All bills passed by congress must meet the following criteria:
1. Must be no more than 5 standard pages; 12 font at Times New Roman or equivalent with 1.5 spacing.
2. Must not cross reference any other bill or measure
3. Must be written for than no higher than a 6th grade reading comprehension.
4. Bills must be stand alone and not dependent on other bills passing.
The purpose of this petition is to clarify special interests intertwined in lengthy legislation or hidden within. This proposal also purposes to simplify the bill making process so that all/most Americans can understand what is being proposed by congress. This petition also seeks to speed up needed government reform by eliminating good bills that would otherwise be vetoed because they contain multiple proposals.
