Create a mandatory 1 year service corp for young adults graduating high school. Service can be Community, Military, etc.

I petition the creation on a mandatory 1 year Service Corp for young adults graduating from high school. Qualifying service could be met through existing organizations like the Military, Peace Corp, National Parks, Existing volunteer and humanity organizations, etc. Also the creation of the service corp and the available resources would spur additional organization development. I see many benefits that the young people would gain through this experience including exposure to other young people from different walks of life, learning new and marketable skills, helping them figure out what they want in life instead of going into debt for a college degree they are unsure about. Also would provide opportunity and new experiences to low income youth.
