create mandatory drug screenings before being allowed to collect welfare benefits.

Created by T.K. on January 31, 2014

People attempting to collect welfare benefits should have to pass a drug screening prior to the collection of said benefits to ensure that the money is not going to those who may use it to support their habit. Not only will this save countless dollars by excluding those who may use it for drugs, but it may force some people to choose between their drugs and their benefits. With people turning away from using drugs, even more money can be saved by reducing the amount spent on the enforcement of drug laws, court costs, and the housing of drug offenders in prisons. This may also help reduce the overcrowding problem faced by many prisons in America. Why is it legal to force a person to pass a drug test to WORK for money but not legal to force a person to pass one to collect FREE money?
