With all the debates and polices being passed requiring drug testing for people collecting unemployment and other social services, I'd like to see us drug test those who also receive our tax money, elected officials.
Tests should be randomized and on the spot, conducted by a 3rd party company who has no connection to any elected official to prevent tampering or avoidance of the testing. Testing should be conducted once a year.
Most other state jobs require regular drug testing, who should elected officials be any different?
