Create a Medal of Honor for teachers, bus drivers, and child caregivers who demonstrate heroism in the face of danger.

Many teachers, bus drivers, and other child caregivers have shown extreme courage and heroism in the face of danger. A special award (similar to the Congressional Medal of Honor for military members) should be created to honor these heroes who put their lives on the line to protect the children of this country. Some examples of these heroes are:
Charles Poland Jr., the bus driver who was shot and killed in Alabama when he refused to let a gunman take two children.
The teachers at Sandy Hook, who shielded students with their bodies.
The teachers and daycare workers of Moore, who also acted as human shields, held the children down to protect them from the tornado, and sang to keep them calm.
These amazing people deserve the same recognition they'd receive if they were military personnel.
