We can create a more democratic election system by moving to the single transferable vote system. This system would better represent the needs and values of us, the American People, by allowing us to rank each of our possible representatives, and if our favorite representative loses, then vote will be transferred to our second favorite representative.
This eliminates the possibility of wasting our votes on the "lesser of two evils," by creating a system in which we can support the candidates that we truly love, and even if they lose, our votes will still count for candidates that we enjoy. This will also create a much more true and robust democracy by increasing the power of all our votes.
