Create a more Diverse and Representative government. The two party system must end for our nation to prosper again.

The United States congress has 535 voting members. The United States population is currently over 300 million. This means that " We the People" have only 0.017% of the population representing the nation in congress. Each member of the House of Representatives and the Senate receives an annual salary of over $170,000 paid by the people. The current median income for the United States is around $50,000 a year. I petition to better represent the country and hopefully create a more diverse congress, the salaries of the House and Senate be cut in half and we use the money to double the size of congress. This would give us a congress of 1070 voting members making around $85,000 a year which is much closer to what the average American earns."We the People" deserve more.
